Living in Charminster

I currently live in Charminster and have to say I really enjoy living there. Its vibrant, cosmopolitan, family oriented – mainly family houses, some pockets of students in certain roads. The majority of the houses are Victorian, Edwardian, moving up to 1920’s. Recently house prices in Charminster are rising rapidly due to a shortage of family houses.

Its great for access to the Wessex Way A338, Bournemouth train station is on the edge of Charminser, the town centre and beach / sea is a 10 minute run away. Queens Park and Meyrick Park are close by, in addition to the West Hants Tennis club.

Charminster is a thriving cosmopolitan area with its own thriving high street, containing a number of speciality resultants, cafes and wine bars which have opened up in recent years. It brings together a youthful feel, inspired by the student population as well as traditional appeal; including a selection of proudly independent shops. You can be sure to feel part of a cutting-edge and dynamic community here. There are also readily transport links, as well as excellent proximity to the prestigious golf course and a number of leisure facilities.
